4. Sewing machines, equipment and materials

You will be shown how to use equipment safely where appropriate and are expected to follow instructions given during the class.

You must take reasonable care when using studio equipment and follow any safety instructions provided.

If you are unsure how to use a piece of equipment, please ask before using it.

Classes are currently for adults only i.e. age 18 and over. If this changes in the future then the policy will be updated to reflect this.

5. Your own equipment and materials

Where a class asks you to bring your own sewing machine, fabric, tools or other materials, you are responsible for bringing suitable equipment and materials.

The Daly Thread Studio cannot guarantee that every sewing machine, pattern or material will be compatible with a particular project.

If you are unsure about what to bring, please contact us before your class.

6. Sewing projects and outcomes

Sewing ability varies from person to person, and everyone learns at a different pace.

Classes are designed to teach practical sewing skills and support you in completing your project, but The Daly Thread Studio cannot guarantee that you will complete a particular project during a class or that the finished item will meet a particular standard.

You are encouraged to ask questions and seek help whenever you are unsure about something.

7. Health, safety and accessibility

Please let us know before your class if you have any accessibility requirements, medical conditions, injuries or other circumstances that may affect your ability to safely participate in the session.

You do not need to provide more information than is necessary to help us support you safely.

We will do our best to make reasonable adjustments where possible.

Further information about the studio environment and accessibility can be found on the booking form.

Please wear suitable clothing and closed-toe footwear where possible.

Avoid loose clothing, jewellery or accessories that could become caught in machinery.
